Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a mood piece as much as a game. You wander a fog-covered village tapping objects, solving small environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened to the people who lived there. It never rushes you, and that patience is the whole appeal.

The art is hand-drawn and genuinely lovely, with a muted palette that fits the melancholy tone. Puzzles are logical rather than moon-logic obscure, so I rarely reached for a hint. When I did get stuck, backtracking always turned up the missing clue.

It runs offline start to finish and the chapters save automatically. I played it in short evening sessions over a week and it never lost my place. If you like slow, atmospheric stories, this one lingers.
